DIT, Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences

Another Promotionszentrum is currently being established in cooperation with Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences: PRISMA Health – Promoting Research and Innovation for Sustainable Multidisciplinary Approaches in Health.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being” and thus as the interaction of individual and systemic factors that determine the individual's environment.

This holistic understanding of health emphasizes the need for a multi-professional and intersectoral research approach in order to successfully address factors that influence health.

PRISMA Health combines four principal research areas: biopsychosocial research, healthcare practice, professional and educational research, as well as digitalization and medical technology transformation. They highlight both individual and systemic health factors in an integrative approach. This creates a unique basis for practice-oriented innovations and provides a lasting contribution to overcoming current and future challenges in the healthcare sector.

Through cross-university collaboration within the Promotionszentrum PRISMA Health, the focus is put on the subject area of health considering the complexity of the associated challenges, as well as on the great potential in terms of social, economic, and professional needs.

We aim to accept the first doctoral students in the summer semester of 2026. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Graduate School at the DIT via e-mail at graduate-school@th-deg.de.
